A dentist and an oral hygienist from the VG-region in Sweden worked as volunteers at the Philani Dental Clinic during October.
The oral hygienist Nnuku Banda resigned on 17th September. Her work at the Philani dental clinic, and at various crèches throughout Khayelitsha, has been most appreciated and she is very much missed. The reason for her resignation is that the Western Cape Health Department is about to take over the clinic using its own staff.

On the 15th January the Oral Hygienist Marilise Llewellyn was employed half-time at the Phambili clinic – after Davianne Carlise who resigned in November 2013.
